Bio

Larry Tang is an Asian American cinematographer based in Orange County and Los Angeles. His approach focuses on stylized naturalism with an emphasis on story-driven cinematography.

His understanding of lighting and camera was informed by both his early career as a set lighting technician working under highly regarded cinematographers like Quyen Tran ASC, combined with his experience as a stills photographer.

Beyond his dozens of short films behind the camera, he is widely known for his collaborations in the creator space. From producing and shooting viral sensations such as When You Carry Your Teammates (2021) and If Masterchef Were Asian (2022) with Nathan Doan, to his most recent work on narrative driven, short-form content with Tristan Tales, he’s helped bring heightened visual storytelling into new mediums.

Outside of cinematography, Larry’s passion for a multitude of sports, technology, and still life photography fuel his everyday curiosity.
